Test Tube was named the "Best Use of New Media" at the 2008 Midlands PRide awards in Birmingham.

The judges said: "Attempts to make science accessible and interesting to the 'sound bite' generation is no easy task, but this site goes a long way to achieving this goal through its use of short interviews that are either candid and/or humorous, as well as informative and entertaining.

"Although a relatively new website, Test Tube is already achieving demonstrable results through migration of content to YouTube and geographical spread of hits. Extremely good value for money too!"
