Here's a chance to meet a man who has become known widely on YouTube simply as "The Professor" or "the guy with the crazy hair".

Martyn Poliakoff is the star of our Periodic Table of Videos website.

He will be joined by others from the site (including video journalist Brady Haran, who makes all the films) for a special event in Nottingham on May 2, 2009.

The event - called "Chemistry Goes Live" - is being held at Nottingham's Broadway Cinema and all are welcome.

The event will include videos, chemistry demonstrations and of course a chance to meet Professor Poliakoff.
