Sometimes the most fascinating stories are ones you stumble over unintentionally.

I met with Alex Stedmon (8 Oct 2007) to discuss his involvement with the Test Tube project. He's a lecturer in 'human factors' - essentially the way people interact with machines.

This means he deals with things like plane crashes.

And it emerged his interest in this area was fuelled by the death of his grandfather, whose Lancaster bomber crashed during World War II, seemingly when its crew went off course.

Alex has obtained the original report into the crash and is keen to look into it further. As a filmmaker, this would certainly be a fascinating side of his story to include in my work.
