Test Tube was in the spotlight at a recent meeting of the East Midlands Innovation Council.

Our film-maker Brady Haran gave a talk about science in the media, discussing the success of this site and showing a series of its best video clips.

This was followed by a debate amongst council members, observed by science journalism students from Nottingham Trent and Lincoln Universities.

Also in attendance (as a member of the innovation council) was Professor Chris Rudd, who oversees Test Tube - so Brady was guaranteed at least one supporter in the audience!

The event, hosted by the East Midlands Development Agency (emda), was part of the 2009 iFestival, a celebration of innovation in the region.
