Janet Folkes took the new University of Nottingham hot air balloon for its maiden flight at Chateau d'Oex in the Swiss Alps.

It was a spectacular setting and I was lucky enough to be in the basket with her for the big moment.

My fiance Kylie was on the ground filming the flight also, so a big thanks to her. The video above shows just some of the amazing footage we captured on a very beautiful and memorable day.
