what when
Water jet in action 18 September 2008
who where
Peter Standring University of Nottingham
explain

This is quite a technical video, showing the University of Nottingham water jet being used to cut a nickel superalloy component.

It is all part of a project to make a part for advanced jet engines.

The incredibly hard metal is being cut simply by a jet of high pressure water (mixed with a little abrasive garnet).

More about the project being run by Peter Standring will be posted on the site soon.
