Donal McNally's an associate professor specializing in spinal biomechanics and impact biomechanics.

His study interests cover a range of issues, from car crashes to baby shaking. He also oversees a fascinating project involving outreach to schools, trying to fill youngters with an interest in science.

After a brief tour of the facilities used by him and his staff, I'm really excited about seeing what they get up to over the next 12 months.
